Working with APIs is all about clarity and reproducibility.
In this project, I explored how Laravel can be used to quickly set up and test backend endpoints.
The goal wasn’t to build a full application, but to create a clean workflow for testing and documenting responses.
Steps I Took
- Created a fresh Laravel project for API testing.
- Added a simple route (
/api/test) returning JSON. - Used Postman to send requests and validate responses.
- Implemented a small middleware for logging requests and responses.
- Documented the workflow so it can be reused in future projects.

Example Endpoint
Route::get('/api/test', function () {
return response()->json([
'status' => 'success',
'message' => 'API test successful!'
]);
});
Conclusion
This project highlights my ability to set up and validate backend APIs quickly.
By combining Laravel’s simplicity with structured testing, I created a reproducible workflow that’s easy to share and demonstrates practical backend development skills.
